The Channel Tunnel Rail Link is being built by London & Continental Railways Limited. It will be Britain's first major new railway for over a century - a high-speed line running for 109km (68 miles) between St Pancras station in London and the Channel Tunnel. Six oil fields were owned by Shell Expro (Shell U.K. Limited & Esso Exploration and Production U.K. Limited) and safety cases were performed to assess all safety issues for each Installation.
